Oi! Eu vi essa tag no youtube (ela foi criada pelo canal bookadoodle) e achei que ia ser uma maneira divertida de falar com vocês sobre os melhores livros que eu li no ano de 2016! Eu li em torno de 52 livros no ano passado e eu tentei não repetir nenhum nas 12 categorias! Se você quer ver exatamente o que eu ando lendo e as classificações é só seguir meu perfil no Goodreads!

Hello! I saw this tag on youtube (created by bookadoodle) and thought it would be a fun way to talk about the best books that I read in 2016! I read around 52 books last year and I tried not to repeat any book in the 12 categories. But if you want to see exactly what I have been reading and the ratings just follow me on Goodreads!  

1. Melhor Ator (Melhor Homen Protagonista)

Scorpius - Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Quando eu penso em um personagem masculino que me supreendeu e que eu me apaixonei de cara vem o Scorpius na minha cabeça. Acho que todo mundo meio que criou essa imagem dos Malfoy e ler sobre ele foi  uma surpresa mais que bem vinda. Além de ser super "do bem" ele é engraçado e merecia um livro/peça só pra ele! Meu favorito de longe no livro. Ainda to esperando a continuação em que ele e o Albus se casam.

When I think about a male character that surprised and made me fall in love the first one to pop up in my head is Scorpius. I think we all had this image of the Malfoys and reading about him was a welcome surprise. Besides being "a good guy" he is so funny and adorable that should have his on play! My favourite in the book by far. I am still waiting for the continuation when he and Albus get married.

Jamie - Beast

O livro Beast é uma história inspirada no conto da Bela e a Fera, mas com uma pegada muito diferente. Aqui a personagem da Bela é uma adolecente transexual e a Fera um adolecente com muitos problemas com a sua aparência. O livro é contado da perspectiva dele, o que por si só é muito intrigante. Mas a minha parte favorita foi como a autora lidou com a transexualidadeno contexto do romance adolecente. 

Ter uma personagem principal, que representa uma das princesas mais iconicas, ser transexual é tão importante. E ela é tudo o que qualquer outra dolecente é, e passa por muito mais coisas muito mais dficeis, mas ainda sim só quer ser normal. O que pra quem não entendeu a mensagem no final, ela é. Normal. Não saiu ainda uma tradução do livro pro português, mas depende do público pedir por esses livros aqui! E gostaria muito de ler uma versão contando o lado dela da história com certeza!

The book Beast is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast tale, but with a really cool twist. The character of Beauty here is a teenager transgender woman and the Beast is a normal teen that: "doesn’t look like your average fifteen-year-old". The book is narrated by his perspective, what is already different. But my favourite part is how the author dealt with the trans theme inside the teen romance gender.  

Having a transgender main character, that represents one of the most iconic Disney princesses, is so important right now. And she is just like every other teenager, going through some really hard stuff that most teens don't have to deal with, but she just wants to be normal and loved by who she is. And for those who missed the point, she is. Normal. I am really hoping for a version with her telling this story!

 The Winner's Trilogy

Vou ser honesta, não lembro de nenhum dos livros que eu li ano passado terem uma reviravolta super emocionante. Mas acho que o que mais me surpreendeu em termos do que a personagem estava narrando e o que acontecia foi a Trilogia do Vencedor. É uma série cheia de ação e romance, sem triangulos amorosos ou desenvolvimentos desnecessários. Foi muito bem escrita e o mundo dela muito bem desenvolvido! 

I'm going to be honest with you, I don't remember any of the books I read last year having this big plot twist. But one of the ones that really surprised me and kept me in the edge the whole book was the Winner's Trilogy. Some of the things that happened really took me by surprise, what can be really hard to find when you read so much of the same gender and just gets the essence of the books. It is a well written, packed with action and love scenes, with no love triangles thank god.

 Miniaturist

Dos livros que não foram previamente citados em nenhhuma das outras categorias esse é com certeza o que tem a melhor capa. Eu comprei ele em primeiro lugar por causa da capa. É uma história muito bonita e emocionante, recomendo pra quem quer dar uma pausa nas aventuras adolecentes. 

Not mentioning the books in the other categories this is the one with the best cover for me. This is the Brazilian edition cover. And I love it, I bought the book because of this cover. It is a really interesting and different story.

5. Melhor Ator e Atriz Coadjuvantes (Melhores Ajudantes)
5. Best Supporting Actor and Actress (Best Male and Female Sidekick)

O Mágico de Oz

Todo mundo meio que conhece a história do mágico de Oz, e a Dorothy que viaja com os seus amigos pra cidade das esmeraldas etc. Mas nos ultimos dois anos eu pude conhecer as muitas histórias que acontecem depois dessa aventura. E posso dizer que não existe livro com mais personagens secundários e que conta a história de cada um deles com mais detalhes que a série de Oz. Me paixonei pelo Tik-Tok, o gato de vidro, a Ozma, a Belina e a Trot. Se ficou confusa recomendo ler os mais de 12 livros que fazem parte dessa série. Como é uma história muito antiga não é mais protegida por direitos autorais e você pode achar ela facilmente pela internet. Partircularmente eu adoro ouvir os audiolivros em inglês dos livros!

Everyone know the story of Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz. But in the last two years, I was able to discover the many stories that happen after the famous first book. I can honestly say there is no other book with more complex and amazing sidekicks than this one. I fell in love with Tik-Tok, the Glass Gat, Ozma, Belina and Trot. If you are confused by this names I recommend you to read the 12 plus books in the series. Because it is a really old story it is not protected by copyrights and you can easily find it online. I particularly like to listen to the audiobooks!

 Throne of Glass

Foi no ano abençoado de 2016 que eu comecei a ler a série Trono de Vidro. E meu deus que série maravilhosa, cada livro mais emocionante que o anterior. Se tem um livro e um universo que é muito bem construido é esse. A Sarah J. Mass é especialista em criar mundos e personagens muito complexos e interessantes. Todos os personagens aqui tem uma história, uma motivação, e isso da uma cor completamente diferente pra história. A gente lê da perspectiva de diversos personagens e todos eles de partes desse mundo completamente diferentes e com a sua própria voz. Não poderia recomendar mais.

It was on the blessed year of 2016 that I read the Throne of Glass series and oh my god, what an amazing series. Each book more thrilling that the one before. If there is a book with a complex and well build universe it is this. Sarah J. Mass is a master at creating complex and interesting worlds and characters. All of the characters here have a back history, a motivation, and this brings a completely different color to the history. We read from different perspectives from different parts of this world that have their own voice. Could not recommend enough.

Me Before You

Entre as adaptações cinematográficas de livros que sairam em 2016 a Como eu era antes de você foi o meu favorito. O livro é tão lindo e emocionante e o filme consguiu captar essa essência. Os atores ficaram ótimos, assim como o figurino! Tudo ficou igual ao livro, mas ainda é uma adaptação e as modificações que eles fizeram foram perfeitas.

From the book to movie adaptations that came out on 2016 Me Before You was definitely my favourite. The book is beautiful and touching and the movie represented that. The actors were great, so was the costume design! It was just like the book, with some small modifications that just made it fit into the big screen.

The Lunar Chronicles

O que melhor que uma série de livros que recontam as histórias das princesas da Disney pra transformar em animação? Essa série com uma pegada steampunk futuristica ficaria deslumbrante animada. E as personagens/princessas serem totalmente idependentes e um modelo pras gerações mais novas é um bonus super bem vindo. Então por favor, mundo do cinema faça acontecer.

What better than a series of books retelling famous Disney Princesses animations to became an animated film? This steampunk/futuristic series would be amazing on the big screen. And the main characters being bad ass, independent woman is just a really good bonus. So movie people make it work, please.

Eu não poderia colocar outro livro nessa categoria. Se você está procurando por um livro cheio de emoção, ação e terror leia NIL. Eu não consegui terminar de ler o último livro da série por que eu estava tendo pesadelos durante a noite e crises de ansiedade durante o dia. 

I could not put another book in this category. If you are looking for a book full with emotions, action and horror read NIL. I could not finish the last book, by the time I got to reading it I was having nightmares and panic attacks during the day. 

10. Melhor Trilha Sonora (Melhor Trilha Sonora em Adaptação de Livro para Filme, futura)

10. Best Musical Score (Best Music in a Book-to-Movie Adaptation)

 Soundless

 Eu não sou muito chegada em trilhas sonoras, nem acompanho muito essa parte dos filmes. Então pra poder premiar essa categoria eu decidi mudar um pouquinho e escolher um livro que eu acho que se transformado em filme teria uma trilha sonora maravilhosa. O livro Silêncio conta uma história em que a maior parte dos personagens são surdos. E a musica e a trilha que eles teriam que criar pra fazer quem ta assistindo passar pela história seria demais. Eu quero assistir ele agora. E se você não leu esse livro ainda, vai! Agora!

Ok so I am not really into soundtracks and could not point one out to save my life. So to make this category work I decided to talk about a book that I think would have to have an amazing soundtrack if turned into a film. Soundless tells a story where most of the people in it can't hear. And the musical score they would have to build to make the viewer understand and go through the story would be amazing I would watch it in a heartbeat. And if you have not read this book yet, go. Now.

11. Melhor curta-metragem (Melhor novela, história curta, livro autônomo)

  Amy & Matthew

O melhor livro autônomo que eu li em 2016 foi Amy e Mattew. A história me pegou completamente desprevinida. Eu comprei o livro por causa da edição, eu vi essa capa e o tamanho do livro, o tipo de papel e sabia que precisava comprar. Nem li a sinópse no verso. E foi o melhor, é uma história que trata de problemas de saúde mentais e fisicos, cada um dos personagens principais sofre de um deles. E a hisória é de como eles sobrevivem com e apesar das suas limitações e como eles se encontram e encontram um ao outro. Escrita com perfeição, merece o prêmio de melhor.

The best standalone book that I read in 2016 was Amy and Mattew, hands down. The story took me by surprise cuz I bought the book because of the edition. The cover, the size, the paper, the font etc. And did not pay much attention to the description. And it was the best one, it is a story that talks about mental and physical health problems. Each one of the main characters has one of this problems. The story is about how they live with and despite their limitations and how they found themselves and each other.

 A Million Worlds with You

A melhor coisa que eu realmente li foi a série Firebird. Ela também me pegou desprevinida no assunto, comprei por recomendações na internet e por que a capa era linda. Mas o conteúdo dentro me deixou maravilhada. Nunca tinha lido nada assim antes. Essa história nos leva a viajar por diversas dimenções e abre o nosso pensamento para os muitos "e se..." no universo. Se você também gosta de imaginar como poderia ser a vida na terra se algumas coisas tivessem acontecido diferentes vá ler esse livro. E não pense que é mais uma trilogia enrolação. Cada livro você descobre não só novos universos, mas novos lados da história principal que está sendo contada. Fui surpreendida com as reviravoltas aqui em cada momento. Me apaixonei e me desiludi com a Mare e aprendi que o destino é a gente que faz, que quem a gente ama e decidi ser amigo, e quem a gente é depende de nós.

The most beast thing that I really read was the Firebird trilogy. It was also one that took me by surprise with its subject, I bought it because of online recommendations and the beautiful cover. But the story inside it was what took my breath away. I had never read something like this before. This tells a story about travelling between dimensions and opens your mind to the many "what if..." of the world. If you also like to imagine how life could be if things have gone different in history go read this book. And don't think this is another empty trilogy. In each book you go to new dimensions and discovers not only this new worlds but new sides to the main plot. I was completely surprised by the twists in the books. I fell in love and got disillusioned alongside Mare and learned the destiny is ours to make, and we decide who to love and be friends with, and who we are is up to us.
